Rock drilling jumbo electric control system

A rock drilling rig (also known as a drilling carriage) is a rock-drilling machine used in tunneling and underground engineering projects that employ the drill-and-blast method. Its working mechanism primarily consists of a propulsion unit, a drilling arm, a slewing mechanism, and a traversing mechanism. Currently, most rock drilling rigs are wheeled construction vehicles equipped with two to four arms. The front part of the vehicle features multiple hydraulically extendable and retractable arms capable of multi-directional movement, and each arm is fitted with a hydraulic piston-driven hammer drill bit at its end, designed for breaking through rock formations. These rigs are characterized by their small turning radius, high maneuverability, efficient operation, rapid and highly accurate positioning of drill bits.
The electric control system for rock-drilling rigs is designed to provide integrated, comprehensive control over the vehicle’s electrical, hydraulic, and motion mechanisms. Given the unique nature of rock-drilling operations and the harsh environments in which they are conducted, the electric control system for rock-drilling rigs features high-level protection, as well as resistance to high temperatures and high humidity. The system’s overall protection rating can reach IP55. The electric control system for rock-drilling rigs incorporates an embedded intelligent controller equipped with advanced motion-control algorithms. Coupled with a high-precision laser positioning device, this system enables highly accurate and rapid multi-arm positioning and coordinated operation. Meanwhile, the control system is equipped with a wireless communication interface, allowing data sharing among multiple rock-drilling rigs. This facilitates collaborative operation of several rigs working on the same tunnel section. Combined with a long-distance communication network, the system can even enable coordinated multi-machine operations across multiple tunnel sections.
The system components are equipped with protective measures and devices such as leakage protection, phase sequence protection, diesel-generator interlock, and battery reverse-charging prevention, which can effectively ensure the stable operation of the system.
